Aside from being an overall nice guy and life long jock, JP knows his stuff when it comes to exercise and fitness. JP attended Linfield College and earned his BA in Exercise Science in 2000. While attending Linfield he had the privilege of playing and coaching football as a Wildcat. To make a few extra bucks while in college JP worked as a personal trainer at Gold’s Gym where he was able to use his degree. He also has gained experience in defensive tactics attained by working as a police officer for the McMinnville Police Department. Thereafter JP took a desk job which rendered his inner athlete dormant. He gained 60 lbs in 3 years and was so out of shape at one point, a simple flight of stairs winded him. Just bending over to tie his shoe was a workout for him. And then he found CrossFit. He began doing CrossFit 4 days/week and saw immediate results. It took him only 6 months to lose 40 lbs and realize that life had rendered his inner athlete dormant. At 33 years old JP made a full recovery to being a healthy active athlete. This is now his passion… to help others release their dormant athlete with-in.
